Y'all Think I'm Nuts - Read This

Not only is China capable of wanting and buying GM if it goes into bankruptcy, they are beating the (former) Big 3 to the punch on electric cars.

While GM is posing in front of the camera and bragging to congress about the Volt - their new electric hybrid - China already has a manufacturer with one on the showroom floor!

We must not be fooled by the leaders of the Detroit fiasco - the American automobile industry is a sinking ship. There may be a survivor, but there will not be three. The days of the Detroit muscle are over. It is time to let it go and move on. Just as Honda, Nissa, and Toyota now produce cars here in America, so will Chinese and Indian manufacturers.

While this may be a sad and difficult truth for many to accept, it is a very real truth no less. The foreign manufacturers will likely produce higher quality products at a more competitive price. This is due in large part to the complacency of the American auto industry and the head-in-the-sand attitude that has prevailed for decades.

Unfortunately, this is where I will get to say I told you so for years. The foreign market is now here and the foreign market is now going to be us!
